2) ARTICLE NO. 1

a)Problem :Energy crisis and subsequent power cuts experienced in our city.

b)Solution: “To switch off lights for an hour to save energy and reduce global warming", says the earth hour NGO activists. But our city pals say that everyday is an earth hour as there are frequent power cuts. So we are already into saving power. “Earth hour” makes a difference in those countries where there is surplus power.

ARTICLE NO.2

a)The days are becoming hotter and humid as compared to last year.

b)The met-department officials say that increasing population density, number of buildings and rising pollution has lead to increase humidity but not rise in temperature.

ARTICLE NO.3

a) Coal reserves may not last beyond 40 years. Therefore there is strong need for promoting solar industry.

b)The national action plan for climate change has to become operational and setup quantitative goals. This would be a good future plan to solve unemployment problems in the country.

ARTICLE NO.4

a)India is unhappy in spite of taking policies on “Climate change” as a developing country, because we are not benefited with monetary and technical assistance.

b)Unless the developed Nations come together to help the developing countries to assist towards appropriate mitigation actions,it would be a diffficult task to handle.

 

2.c) Articles are showing both national issues as well as the local aspects with regards to climate changes. However some newspapers have a special weekly editions on environmental issues while most of them highlight our grievances as well.

 

d)"SOLAR INDUSTRY CAN CREATE MORE JOBS, SAYS MINISTRY". This headline has made us think more on climate change and its consequent effect on upcomig solar industry.So there seems to come a ray of hope in this crisis of fuels,energy and the whole environment as such.Moreover, this alternate technology also promises for better employment opportunities.

 

e)If we really want to make a difference, its better we change our attitudes towards life.So our headline goes as.....

"CLIMATE CHANGE????? THEN CHANGE YOUR LIFE STYLE!!!!!"
