We would choose al gore as our climate hero. He started to informate people all over the world about the climate problem. We are fascinated about his film which is called "The Inconvenient Truth". He shows us the facts and the future happenings.

Hello India!!

We're two students from Switzerland and want to transmit you our opinion

about changing our habits in daily life ;)

We were thinking about your question, how every individual could make a change.

Our result is that there are many possibilities to mitigate climate change.

Our favorite proposes are cheap but effective:

-You could use a stand-by operation

-Another possibility is handling economically with warm water

-to eat less meat (only three times per week)

-to use less paper

-try to recycle your litter

We think, Mahatma Gandhi meant something very important when he said:

“We need to be the change we wish to see in the world.”

Kind regards from Zürich =)

a) Well, we think that treeplanting is essentiel for the protection of our planet, since it transforms CO2 into oxygen. The more trees we plant the more CO2 can be absorbed, which means that less harmful substance remains in the atmosphere. Without the oxygen the trees produce there wouldn't be any human beings.

b) Actually we have been searching several climate heroes for the past few weeks. And we've found a lot of people who are motivated to protect our planet in very different ways. E.g. : They put solar celles on their roofs and use renewable energy in general. We've found teachers, neighbours and friends.

It's all about the definition: A climate hero is someone that uses his possibilities as good as he can. What one can do depends on his surroundings. The point is that he really does something with all his force. Change is important. No matter where the climate hero does his thing, he makes a difference.

We must change our consciousness/minds and get aware of the fact that without changing something, the world situation is going to change drastically.

Many small people, at many small places, which do many small things, will change the face of this world. - quotation of the Xhosa (Tansania, South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho)

It's important that you can delimit and control your lifestyle, so that you do a favour to the society. Thinking generally it's more important then thinking individually. If everybody would change something, even if it's not a lot, at the end we'll see a big difference and an important change.
