In our school we have asked our teachers and school officials about their understanding on climate change. This is what they said

Climate change is the situation whereby weather or climate of one area changes as result of different factors, these factors may be environmental pollution or human activities.

The possible consequnces to our country that have been mentioned are air pollution, deforestation, increase of temperature, drought, land degradation and earth movements.

We think the answers are correct but it will be of importamce to teach more people about climate change.

We have managed tp get the Daily News paper of June 2009 that has an article about climate change. The article states "Climate change does not wait for recessions"

The possible consequnces that have been mentioned are lack of money for poor farmers to partcipate in Carbon trading that is reflected in Kyoto Protocol signed in 1997 by industrilized countries. There is also a problem African farmers being not able to capture these carbon markets because of lack of technical support and knowledge on how the carbon market works.

The priority to articles about climate change is high as they are published almost weekly giving chance for readers to read about climate change.

The headline that has impressed us is "Climate change does not wait for recessions" as it talks about educating African farmers about opportunities in climate change.

An article I will give about climate change will be "Teaching African farmers about climate change"

We would like to tell the world to know that climate change is OUR problem not European,American,Chinese or African problem and then people should be educated and cooperate on how to mitigate this problem in their countries.

Now it is your turn to compile the questions 5 until 8. Carefully consider the best way of posing the questions in order to gain the best possible insight into the everyday views of your partner class.
