In the year 2007, the so-called „ Earth Hour“ started in Sidney, Australia. The lights from famous emblems were turned off in many cities all around the world. Also the worried people turned off their lights. 30 cities and villages from Switzerland supported the „Earth Hour“. Amongst others in Bern, Zürich, Genf, Lausanne and Thun the lights were turned off during one hour. With these action message the enviroment organisation WWF wants to call on the population to show a sign for the climate protection for the governments all around the world.
