Can we do something for the climate?

Class: Gymnasium Seefeld | By: Marianne

Yes, we can! That's the answer. Maybe we can't do something which change the world in one day, but there are many things we can do also here in Switzerland! Propably you're wondering: what the heck does she mean! I will tell you. Today I have read some article in the book which is called "How to reduce your carbon footprint". For example: Always turn off the light when you leave the room. Turn off the computer during the night. By the way it's better using a lap-top than a normal computer. So you can save till 90 percent of the energie. And please, please don't trash your old computer. There are organisations which repare and use it again. Don't buy frequently a new cellphone and display the charger. If you don't need your cellphone anymore bring it back to the shop! Take a shower instead of a bath. Eat less meat and fish because so you can save much CO2. Try to avoid milk products as well. There are many other possibilites for us in Switzerland to protect the climate! Why don't you inform yourself and try it? Marianne & Anja

Your idea about the how to reduce carbon foot prints is really the foundation which everyone must follow. i have a question , how can eating less meat , fish and avoiding milk products help in reducing carbon emission?
