some ideas from india

Class: Kantonsschule Baden (1) | By: tenzin, kusang, gopal

Hi i am Passang Tsekeyof Upper Tibetans ChildrensVillage . Thanks for your valuable concern.I agree with you .The world is running short of time to save our planet from global warming. It is now or never. Each responsible man on this earth should do something to stop the looming ecological disaster. Here I wish to share a heartening news from India, state of Uttarakhand. I have come across a man who is nicknamed as Tree man. He has been planting tree for the last 50 years. By now he has already planted five hundred thousand trees - mainly Oak, cedar, Rodendendron and fruit trees. He did this after his dear father passed away suddenly in his early life to forget the pangs of separation. He treat the trees like his children and does not plant trees during night. He says that planting trees in the night will disturb the sleep of other trees. He now has grown a whole jungle singlehandedly and the villagers think that he is a mad man to do such a hard work without any personal gains. His ultimate wish is to be buried in his own forest and plant a sapling on his grave. He also pray hard to be reborn fast so that he can go on planting trees. In case we motivate and bring awareness about the global warming in the people in the world, even a single sincere person can make difference in the world. I am giving the word to Tenzin: Hi I am Tenzin, to be really truthful , i have never ever wished or took notice of this day " World Environment Day" until now perhaps because of ignorance or lack of knowledge . And i feel so lucky that i am not too late to have realized the importance of this day which reminds us of the most precious asset we have right now and that is our mother nature, our environment . Until this year i have never ever given a single moment of thought that by riding the motor bike somehow adds to the rise in CO2 gas levels and ofcourse to the greatest environment challenge of the century "GLOBAL WARMING". But lucky me , i have now started to think on it . Flashing back , i have made use of bike many times when i could have simply made without it . so on this day , i have a resolution dedicating to my mothe earth and that is i will use public transport as much as possible and walk as much as possible . so this is my message to all the youngsters " try this, you actually feel much smarter walking by the road rather than riding on a bike" Kusang will now tell you something about his vacations in Bhutan: «Hi  I am Kusang, I believe if we have a positive attitude towards the environment (for eg. thinking of earth as our home). Then automatically we will show great respect towards nature.»The headlines written as INDIVIDUAL CAN MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN CLIMATE CHANGE BY CHANGING ONE'S LIFESTYLE has impressed me most because if each individual changes his or her lifestyle by pacing towards low carbon economy then in a whole we can protect our earth. For many reasons this year’s winter vacation has been one of a kind and of course I cant hold myself in writing about days I spent in Bhutan with my family . We had to stay at the border place called Phuntsok ling for two days and get our documents corrected. Finally our journey started in Bhutan . As we entered BHUTAN, we know that we are in a totally different country .. .. The hush , rush , and noise starts to fade away and one can hear the blowing of air and view the eternal beauty of mother nature .. Yes we are in BHUTAN …It was not before when we reached the capital city Thimbhu , my brother was calling it as Untouched Civilization and to some extent I also agreed because we could hardly see any buildings , houses and structures around , rather its filled with trees all around . Thimbhu , the capital city , even though not as huge like Delhi is well structured ..It is the place where you will find the different departments of the government of Bhutan . Incidentally the guide of our tour was my brother with his lonely planet book on Bhutan. Almost all the things about this country are good except for the food . It is expensive and in addition one can't have much choices because of scarcity of vegetables . The food called Eama Dasai is considered very delicious but for me it got my tongue burnt and I also had problem with my stomach the next day .. So , yes, we are in Bhutan for pilgrimage . For that we have to go to another place called PARO about 35 km from Thimbhu. When we reached Paro valley , I was spell bound by the magnificent beauty of the mother nature, presented before us . It looked just like the places of TIBET which I have noticed in magazines and in television .. Such was the beauty that indeed I felt that our environment is really the greatest asset we have and we should be preserving it . This place is known for ancient creations of buddhist stupas and temples. We woke up early in the morning next day as we have to climb up the mountain to get the holy blessings of site called TAKTSANG( tiger’s nest) where GURU RINPOCHE( GURU PADMASAMBHAVA) is said to have flown on the back of tigress in the 8th century and meditated. Since it’s the first time we were going there , we don’t have much idea about the time even though its written in lonely planet that its about one hour way but for us it took nearly about three hours to reach there . On the way we met a bhutanese family , same destination as ours. Incidentally we became good friends and also had lunch together. When we got near to taktsang there is huge water fall and I thought that Guru Rinpoche must have taken the drinks from there and felt his choice of place to meditate , excellent . The holy site is also known to fulfill the wishes of the pilgrims . So I wished and prayed for the happiness of all the sentient beings( Do wa rik duk ) , long life of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, good result of my students in the upcoming board examination and something for myself. . Over all i really feel good to have visited BHUTAN as i now know that there are countries which really care for their land and preserves it with discipline and with proper rules and regulation . i just wonder when can india take such steps. i do know that india is a huge country so may be it will take some time . hoping for the best . guess what - just take a look at this very beautiful country , BHUTAN.  Now from Kusang to Gopal. Hi my name is Gopal: a good friend of mine who is a cook ina small stall said that he was really hating waht we call digital world and a developing country. for him the civilisation was imlportant and till now no other ages have brought up such bad result as this. everything ending up in eithere being harmful to the earth or to the animals. he wishes to see the old india where everything was fine and clean and beautiful and everything recogned as nature.  people are getting hooked up with modern technology that they forget the nature and no one can live without them. a barbar in mcloed ganj and a good friend of mine said that the rising of the temperature was because of the tourists. because of them the govt of himachal pradesh are taking in aloot of vehicles and other means to entertain the tourists. his idea for atleast reducing the problem was to make this hotspot in to a nature spot where no vehicles are allowed. and all the people are on fooot. this is a very good idea ithink.   in one of my ideas i have said that let all the cars be parked at the entrance of the town and let there be two bus moving is opposote direction simontaniously which would take care of the transportation problem. if any special deliveries then make a time to let it happen and that time would not interfear with the normal transporatin routine.  it would make it so that those who want to go to another place then they can onyl go on foot or by the only bus that is available
