Miners in Tambopata.- As minerals are extracted from the jungle, rivers, etc, dangerous substances are released to places where the nature and locals get harmed (forests, rivers, etc.). 1500 hectares had to be cut down to extract the dangerous metal. The government is trying to stop this by suspending the extraction of minerals for two years. Recycable cellphones.- Around 1000 people buy a cellphone daily and the old ones aren’t used anymore, so all the poisonous components of the cellphone components will affect the climate after they are set free. A solution for this problem is thought to be introducing recyclable cellphones. 6600 cellphones have been collected to recycle.

So the things we post are made by all of us, and not only by the one who posted it. I just wanted to let you know... Hope to hear from you soon, Carlos.
