As countries celebrate World Environment Day,renewable energy and energy sufficient initiatives are starting to be implemented across the continent.The projects which reduce the gases that cause global warming are being backed under the Clean Development Mechanism[CDM]It allows developed countries to offset some of their emissions from cars,factories and homes by funding  clean energy projects in developing countries.Many of these projects range from those which are wind-driven to those that switch power stations from coal to cleaner natural gas.This is opening doors to renewable energy across AFRICA.
