onondaga

One environmental problem New York State has is pollution of Onondaga Lake. The Lake is polluted because sewage plants have dumped their waste into the lake.. Also, disrespectful people have thrown garbage and litter into the lake. Some solutions that have been proposed are to create a new sewage plant that will cost 128 million dollars. Also, a volunteer clean-up crew has assisted in cleaning up the lake. This article caught our eye because pollution in New York State...

It can influence natural disasters, making them stronger and more dangerous effects such as tornadoes and hurricanes. In addition, polar ice caps are melting causing a future rise in sea levels. Snow is a major weather effect in Central New York. Storms and blizzards are often occurrences in Syracuse. Global Warming may change this, changing the normal...
