			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext"><span lang="EN-US">In Mbezi Beach students would like to do the following towards realization of project to reduce CO2 emissions:</span></p>
<p class="bodytext">&nbsp;</p><ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="1" type="1"><li><span lang="EN-US">Tree planting</span></li></ol><p class="bodytext"> <span lang="EN-US">In classroom discussion students said since Climate change is caused as result of emissions of greenhouse gases from industries, cars and motor bike. They would like to start a Tree planting campaign in industries here in Dar es Salaam so that they create awareness to the public about the benefits of trees in bring down and sucking CO2 emitted from these industries . Students in Mbezi also proposed to plant trees along side the roads in Dar es Salaam that will also act as CO2 filter, filtering emitted CO2 from the cars passing. Proposed industries for tree planting campaign include Tanzania Cigarette Company industry (TCC), Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) and Twiga Cement all found in Dar es Salaam.</span> <span lang="EN-US">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p class="bodytext">&nbsp;</p><ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="2" type="1"><li style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Environmental      education</span></li></ol><p class="bodytext">&nbsp;Provide education to the public about the importance of planting trees and forcing the Government to raise tax to cigarette companies as a way of discouraging cigarette smoking which has both environmental and health effects.</p>
<p class="bodytext">&nbsp;</p><ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="3" type="1"><li style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Provide      education through media </span></li></ol><p class="bodytext"> <span lang="EN-US">Students in Mbezi want to use media like television channels to talk about climate change. In this program students proposed to use youth television programs where they will conduct debates on effects of climate change with their colleagues from other schools. Proposed television channel include TBC1, ITV, and Channel 5.</span> <span lang="EN-US">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p class="bodytext">&nbsp;</p><ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="4" type="1"><li style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Climate      change debate competition among participating schools</span></li></ol><p class="bodytext"> <span lang="EN-US">Students in Mbezi also proposed the introduction of climate change debate competition among participating schools where students will be debating on various Climate change topics prepared by TAYEN. At the end of these debates the winning students and school will awarded certificates and certain prize.</span> <span lang="EN-US">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p class="bodytext">&nbsp;</p><ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="5" type="1"><li style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The      use of Bongo Flava artist to raise awareness about climate change</span></li></ol><p class="bodytext"> <span lang="EN-US">Mbezi students also proposed the use famous Musician in Tanzania who would produce a song about climate change thereafter the song will be played in radio and TV stations in Tanzania to educate people about climate change. They proposed the following bongo flava artists to be involved in production of climate change song: &nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US">Banana Zoro, Lady Jay Dee, and Prof. Jay and Kingwendu.</span></p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">In commemorating the World Environment Day in 2009, on 5th June 2009 Tanzania Youth Environmental Network (TAYEN) and Vodacom Foundation conducted clean up event at Kigamboni Ferry station.  The event involved 120&nbsp;secondary students from Mbezi Beach, Makongo and Tegeta, students from University of Dar es Salaam and Sokoine University of Agriculture and staff from Vodacom. In the event participants collected solid waste,&nbsp;cleaned up&nbsp; Ferry station on both sides, installed waste management signboards with environmental education messages and distributed 20 Large Liter bins that were ditributed at Ferry station to &nbsp;minimize haphazrd waste dumping.</p>]]></content:encoded>

I am writing to you to discuss with you on how we can collaborate&nbsp; through&nbsp; Hot Stuff Chill Out project to launch a campaign&nbsp;to save Mountain Kilimanjaro the Roof of Africa from global warming. The mountain has been experiencing rapid decrease of its ice and snow&nbsp;due to&nbsp;melting&nbsp;as a result of&nbsp; increase in temperature, not only that they have been&nbsp;serious Wildfire on top of the Mountain that have been occuring in the last couple of years.<br />&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;Me and the classes here in&nbsp;Tanzania&nbsp;came up with an idea of launching a &nbsp;campaign to create awareness and attention to the World on saving this World Heritage that has been one of the Key Tourist attraction in my country Tanzania.<br />&nbsp;<br />I have some ideas on how&nbsp;we can collaborate with you guys in&nbsp;Switzerland to make this campaign a reality.
