09. Looking back and thinking ahead

Asked by: Colegio America | Gymnasium Linde

a) Imagine it would be possible to turn back the clock a hundred years. What do you think we would do differently?

b) We are naturally not able to turn the clock back, but we can learn from the past. What kind of information does the past reveal?

a) - Respect our planet more

- Only use renewable energy

- Refuse vehicles that produce CO2

- Educate children more about the protection of the climate

- We wouldn't cut down trees, but plant alot

b) The past reveals that we didn't take enough care of our planet. We only thought about our

own good. We didn't realize that we were starting to destroy our earth.

It shows us that we must change.

I totally agree. Those things you mentioned about doing a hundred years ago would be really usefull if we could turn back in the time, unfortunatelly this can't be possible. Now we know that in the past people didn't take care about the planet, but their lives. Now, we have to suffer the consecuences.
