a) Ask ten people what they think about:

1.The climate change

2.The possible consequences for your country - and take note of the answers.

b) What do yout think about these answers?

Here are the some of the opinions of the people around us regarding CLIMATE CHANGE.

Tashi says:daily change on weather condition of particular area is called climate change.

Dorjee says:change in seasons is what we called as climate change.

Tenzin says:Change in climate with respect to the past is called as climate change.

One says:Talking about weather change for a wide range of time is called as climate change.

Sangay says:If there is change in periodic seasons due to certain causes is called as climate change.

Rest of them says:Climate change is the major environmental issues which means rapid change of temperature, rainfall pattern, humidity and so on.

Possible consequences in our country are as follows:

1) Draught

2)Landslides

3)Increase in sea level.

4)Increase in temperature.

From the above suggestions i can conclude by saying that we must disseminate issues regarding environment and increase awareness about the present situation.

i interviewed a a friend of mine who is a cobbler. while he was busy mending my shoe and he cursing because of the heat i took the opportunity to question him about the weather. i asked him"uncle ,do you feel any difference in the temperature condition"? cobbler: "yes, and a lot of difference" i knew he was going to say that as we were both mountain people and the heat was killing him. it is a change he said made due to burning lots and lots of trees he said. i asked him again. why he thought it was because of fire. he told me that the people did this in order to make more space for agriculture porpose or to increase the area of urbanization. i asked for any precautions that he may be able to use to stop this action, however he had a long face when i asked this. he said that the govt wouldnt give any response since the govt of india are now so much in developing and want to go on i didnt get his precautions but he has noticed the temperature rising

a barbar in mcloed ganj and a good friend of mine said that the rising of the temperature was because of the tourists. because of them the govt of himachal pradesh are taking in aloot of vehicles and other means to entertain the tourists. his idea for at least reducing the problem was to make this hotspot in to a nature spot where no vehicles are allowed. and all the people are on foot. this is a very good idea i think. in one of my ideas i have said that let all the cars be parked at the entrance of the town and let there be two bus moving is opposote direction simontaniously which would take care of the transportation problem. if any special deliveries then make a time to let it happen and that time would not interfear with the normal transporatin routine. it would make it so that those who want to go to another place then they can only go on foot or by the only bus that is available.

a good friend of mine who is a cook in a small stall said that he was really hating what we call digital world and a developing country. for him the civilisation was important and till now no other ages have brought up such bad result as this. everything ending up in either being harmful to the earth or to the animals. he wishes to see the old india where everything was fine and clean and beautiful and everything recogned as nature. people are getting hooked up with modern technology that they forget the nature and no one can live without them.

a) Write down your emotional feelings for the words “anger, responsibility, hope and indifference” in connection with the topic of climate change.

b) Which kind of emotion do you feel most strongly in connection with the topic of climate change? (This does not have to be one of the four mentioned above). Explain the reasons why.

My emotional feeling regarding the previous words anger, responsibility, hope and indifference in connection with climate change are as below:

I feel very angry to those who are blindly using the natural resources for their own benefits.

Emotionally,i feelmyself as a responsible person for to change my lifestyle which can improve the reduction of GHG emissions.

I have a great hope that sooner or later all the people will become a genuine respnsibility holder.

Apart from the the above mentioning words i think positive attitude the main things which is strongly connected with cliamte change because if we have positive attitude towards environment( for eg. thinking of earth as our home). Then automatically we will show great respect towards nature

KALSANG LHAMO’S VIEW

Ï) Anger makes me feel that the people are frustrated with the drastic changes in the climate in the recent times they are angry with their ancestors for making such decisions in order to make a comfortable life for themselves which is in turn now affecting our lives now making it harder and harder for us to sustain ourselves and we are putting our future generations at a greater risk and there is nothing we can do about it now.

ÏI) Responsibility it tends to make me feel the need to be more safeguarding towards the exhaustible resources and the need to think before making any decisions regarding the nature as we should keep in mind the responsibility we have to think of all the effect our decisions shall have on our own children and grandchildren.

ÏII) Hope makes me feel the undying determination to save our planet earth and to solve all the problems associated to it. It also makes me want to shout out loud so that all the people can hear that we should not give up trying to save our mother earth though some people may try to make us back off and all we should think of them as unfortunately blindfolded people who are going to regret their actions very soon in the near future.

ÏV) Indifference is something which makes want to shake those indifferent people till their teeth’s rattle and their minds register the important fact that their indifference is in a way contributing more towards the destruction of our planet. And that they should become helpful individuals for the sake of their own future seeds.
