09. Looking back and thinking ahead

a) Imagine it would be possible to turn back the clock a hundred years. What do you think we would do differently?

b) We are naturally not able to turn the clock back, but we can learn from the past. What kind of information does the past reveal?

- Not exploiting natural resources unwisely. Avoid giving lincenses to any company without considering the impacts its intervnetion will have on the environment.

- Call into atention the importance of the environment. Early last century it was almost thought that resources where never going to run out. Now er are witnessing it. Call into atention what would happen in the future.

- Considering all human beigns as HUMAN beigns, disappearing race, gender, religion,etc. distintions. Respect to one another is also respect for the environment, as we are part of it.

- Stop the hunt of many animals that now are extincted.

- Not put all effors in only one energy resource (coal, for example) but trying to diversify it with renewable energies.

This can be summits for our new era. Let's fight for them.
