- Our Question: If you could choose anyone in the world to be your special climate hero or role model, who would it be?

- Our Question: Magic Johnson said: “I believe in the power of heroes. What is a hero? There are as many different answers to that question as there are people in the world, and that’s a good thing: we need different kinds of role models for different kinds of people. I personally think a hero is a leader who has a positive impact on people. A hero is someone who acts and through those actions changes the world.” – Tell me your definition of a hero.

- Our Question: A group of students thought it would be great to collect portraits of climate heros from all over the world. That’s what they say: “If we show people that if those local climate heros can make the effort, then anybody can. Let them see that what they are doing is rapidly becoming the norm, not the exception. Your climate heros don’t need to be famous. We’d like to show people just like you and me – with the little difference that they care. The goal is to realize an impressive exhibition of portraits from all over the world.”

- Our Answer: The Nobel Peace Laureate, Prof. Wangari Maathai. Her undying battle for Mother Nature is unmatched.

- Our Answer: Al Gore (USA): He put politics aside to fight CLimate Change no matter what. How inspiring! His Excellenca Barack Obama (USA) – Agreed to lower carbon emissions unlike his predecessors. Prince Charles (UK): Royalty aside, he works to salvage world climate for instance, his Rainforests Projects. His Honourable John Michuki – He has curbed environmental pollution as Environment Minister and has gone the extra mile in implementing policies that protect the environment e.g. He eased noise pollution through a law that banned noise within 30 metres unless the noise-making is licensed. Juliani (Kenya) He is a musician and unlike his compatriates, serves as an ambassador for Climate Change. He also attended the Copenhagen meeting last year. His music has created awareness among the youth who are ignorant over climate-related issues. Mrs. Njuguna, Menengai High School (Kenya) – She is a hero for taking up the responsibility of managing the school environment such as flowers an ensuring all students learn ho to maintain their surrounding so as to positively impact the situation in the world. Carol Nanou – she is my blood sister and a student at Africa Nazarene University. She is super-sensitive on littering around and keeps all people in check from throwing litter. Without knowing, she is a hero.
